Jerusalem

LOCATION: JERUSALEM

I was pretty excited to visit Jerusalem when we were in Israel for our New Year's Eve vacation. I've heard a lot about this magical place and couldn't wait to explore it by myself.

Especially the Old City was on my list to discover since this is one of the most talked about place in religious history. The Old City is home to several sites of key religious importance: the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque for Muslims, the Temple Mount and Western Wall for Jews and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Christians.

When we arrived in the city the whole situation was quite overwhelming because there were so many people in the streets near the Old Town and we barely hat the chance to move forward. But once we made it was so cool to get around.

The Old City is roughly divided into the Muslim Quarter, the Christian Quarter, Armenian Quarter and Jewish Quarter. So you really have to plan enough time to discover everything. And one more tip: Don't wear a white dress, unless you really want to stand out from the crowd... haha.
