Max Brown Hotel Ku'Damm Berlin

Dieses Wochenende habe ich im neu eröffneten Designhotel Max Brown Ku'Damm in Berlin verbracht. Das Hotel wurde mit 70 Zimmern im Dezember 2016 mit einem Mix aus gemütlichen Zimmern, lebendigen Social Spaces und einem herzlichen  Service eröffnet und begeistert insbesondere mit dem Frühstück des 24/7 Benedict Restaurants aus Tel Aviv.

Für die Gestaltung der Zimmer ist der Designer aus Amsterdam Saar Zafrir verantwortlich. Mit weißen Wandpaneelen, Eichenböden und Ornamenttapeten hat er jedes Zimmer hell und gemütlich gestaltet. 

Antikteppiche, Sessel, Bettüberwürfe von HAY und Bildbände bringen Farbe ins Spiel, während Basketballkörbe für spielerische Abwechslung sorgen.

// I spent the past weekend at the recently opened design hotel Max Brown Ku'Damm in Berlin. The hotel opened in december 2016 with 70 rooms with a mix of comfortable rooms, living social spaces and a warmhearted service. Moreover the hotel offers the best breakfast at the 24/7 Benedict restaurant from Tel Aviv.

Responsible for the unique design of the rooms is Saar Zafrir from Amsterdam. With white wall panels, oak floors and ornament wallpapers he designed every room bright and comfortable. Antique carpets, arm chairs, bed plaids from HAY and books bring color into the rooms while basketball baskets offer a playful change.

Dank der Kooperation mit dem Düsseldorfer Plattenlabel Unique Records, findet sich eine kleine aber feine Vinyl-Auswahl in jedem Zimmer, die auf dem Plattenspieler direkt ausprobiert werden kann. So etwas habe ich bisher auch noch in keinem anderen Hotel erlebt.

Im großen Social Space Bereich im Eingangsbereich hat die Designerin Alona Eliasi aus Tel Aviv mit kräftigen Farben und 50-er Jahre Mobiliar eine Wohlfühloase und Treffpunkt für die lokale Community geschaffen.  

Das Max Brown Ku'Damm liegt an der Uhlandstraße in Charlottenburg, nur wenige Meter vom KuDamm entfernt. Auch die nächste UBahn Station ist direkt in der Nähe. Also meiner Meinung nach ist das Hotel absolut empfehlens- und einen Ausflug nach Berlin in jedem Fall wert.

// Thanks to the cooperation with the record label Unique Records from Düsseldorf every room contains a small but fine selection of vinyl that can be played directly with the record player. I never saw this in any hotel before. 

In the big social area at the entrance the designer Alona Eliasi from Tel Aviv created a feeling good area and meeting point for the local community with strong colors and 50s furniture.

The Max Brown Ku'Damm is located at the Uhlandstraße in Charlottenburg, near the KuDamm and public transport. In my opinion the hotel definitely is recommendable and worth a visit.
